Wow! I can’t believe I finally found how to get into the comment part of this email address. Please forgive me, but computers are a new thing to me. First of all, the book is hysterical and I identify with some of your issues. Ironically, my son was adopted in 1975 when he was an infant. We named him Benjamin to give him a Jewish identity. We did not take him to a mikvah or recircumcise him (it felt cruel to me to cut him again). Well, he never got the Jewish identity dispite the Jewish home we provided with religious and Hebrew school. He had all of the same comments that you have in your book. I do appreciate what you have done. I am learning and loving each page. I will give this book to my son to read. He may enjoy it as well. I absolutely loved this book! I was born and raised a Catholic in Brooklyn. We been to seders,bar mitzvahs,bris,and also sat at Shivas.I read Jewish folklore and I’m a big fan of Chiam Potack. I’m giving a close friend, who is an Orthodox Jew this book. She’ll love it! It was very funny and enlightening at the same time. It gave me insight to how we as people find our faith in so many different ways.
